Teachers and students from Jiangxi Normal University visited Zhongdi Digital to carry out practical visits to enterprises, joint training and exchange activities
Under the wave of intelligence in the geographic information industry, the lack of matching between industrial upgrading needs and talent supply is becoming increasingly prominent. In order to grasp the pulse of the market and deepen the integration of industry and education, a group of more than 30 teachers and students from the Beidou Aoxiang Industry Class, led by Zhang Xiu, Director of the Department of Geographic Information Science at the School of Geography and Environment of Jiangxi Normal University, and Huang Min, Deputy Director, recently visited Zhongdi Digital for enterprise research and started a meaningful internship tour. The staff of Zhongdi Digital and New Zhongdi Education's school enterprise cooperation warmly received them.

The undergraduate students majoring in Geographic Information Science who visited this time have a thirst for knowledge and a passion for practice, and have learned about the dynamic development of the entire GIS industry through the window of Zhongdi Digital. As a leading enterprise deeply involved in the GIS industry for more than 30 years, Zhongdi Digital has always maintained a leading position in independent core technology with domestically produced and controllable MapGIS as its technological core. It has won multiple National Science and Technology Progress Awards. In practical industry applications, MapGIS not only provides support for the Shenzhou series spacecraft and Chang'e lunar exploration project, but also plays an important role and value of geographic information technology in fields such as smart cities and natural resources.

At the beginning of the event, Ai Wei from the New China Education University Cooperation Department led teachers and students from Jiangxi Normal University into the China Digital History and Culture Museum. The exhibition of early MapGIS research and development achievements, iterative upgrades of technological hardcore, participation in manned spaceflight, national natural resources, smart city planning and management and other major national engineering projects displayed in the museum systematically outlines the development trajectory of China Ground Digital's more than 30 years of deep cultivation in the GIS field. From the first domestic color map editing and publishing system MapCAD, to the application of full space intelligent GIS technology in major projects such as the Shenzhou spacecraft and smart city cluster construction, to breakthroughs in cutting-edge fields such as digital twins, spatiotemporal big data, and AI+GIS integration, each achievement demonstrates the hardcore strength of China's GIS technology from "following" to "leading". Highly praised by teachers and students of Jiangxi Normal University!

Subsequently, the group visited and inspected the Zhongdi Digital R&D Center together, and also gained a preliminary understanding of the new technologies and achievements achieved by MapGIS, as well as experiencing the working environment and corporate culture of leading enterprises in the industry.

At the exchange report meeting, Director Fang Huchao of Zhongdi Digital GIS Talent Training Center gave a detailed explanation of Zhongdi Digital's development concept of "driving product upgrading with technological innovation and cultivating professional talents through the combination of industry, academia, and research". He shared in detail the experience of Zhongdi Digital's use of New Zhongdi Education as a carrier for GIS talent training, and its joint construction of "GIS Industry College" and "GIS Teaching and Training Base" with more than 30 universities across the country. At the same time, it collaborates with GIS industry enterprises to provide high-quality employment for students and form a "industry university research application" talent training loop.

Subsequently, during the on-site communication, Director Fang Huchao provided a detailed explanation of the current development status and trends of the GIS industry, important application technologies and fields, as well as an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of market employment positions. He also provided professional guidance on how undergraduate students can find high-quality employment.
Director Zhang Xiu of the Department of Geographic Information Science at the School of Geography and Environment of Jiangxi Normal University expressed high recognition of this internship visit and hopes that in the future, both parties can carry out deeper cooperation in curriculum development, talent cultivation, scientific research projects, and jointly explore the collaborative education mechanism of "new engineering" construction under the system of liberal arts. Ai Wei from the New China Education University Cooperation Department also expressed willingness to provide more practical opportunities and resources for students from universities such as Jiangxi Normal University, helping them grow into high-quality, high skilled applied talents needed by the industry.

Subsequently, under the witness of leaders and teachers and students from both sides, the unveiling of the "Jiangxi Normal University and Zhongdi Digital Practice Teaching Base" was carried out.
