In order to further deepen school enterprise cooperation and explore new models of collaborative education between industry, academia and research, Hubei University and Zhongdi Digital jointly held a series of year-end summary activities for graduate workstations. Mei Xin, Vice Dean of the School of Resources and Environment at Hubei University and Head of the Graduate Workstation, Fang Huchao, Director of Education and Research at Zhongdi Digital/New Zhongdi Education, and students participating in the joint training program at the station attended the event.

On January 3rd, the two sides held an offline exchange meeting for the joint training of new professional master's degree candidates for the 2024 cohort. Teacher Fang led 8 new students to visit the MapGIS Historical and Cultural Museum to gain a deeper understanding of China Earth Digital's exploration process and great contributions in the field of geographic information systems (GIS). Subsequently, the students exchanged and discussed the precautions and requirements for the joint training of professional and master's degrees, summarized their learning situation in 2024, and planned ahead for their future learning careers. Professor Mei Xin emphasized that the current employment situation is severe and joint training opportunities are hard won based on the learning and work situation of previous batches of students. While seizing practical opportunities, students should also stimulate their learning drive and gather every little bit of learning and practice into a powerful force to enhance their employment competitiveness.

On January 16th, the annual summary meeting of Hubei University North China Water Resources Internship Joint Training was held online, which summarized and deployed the internship joint training situation of four students at North China Water Resources Group Company. Fang Huchao summarized the internship joint training work from the perspective of enterprises, evaluated the performance of internship students, shared the experience and needs of enterprise talent cultivation, provided detailed answers to the problems encountered by internship students in the joint training work, expressed expectations and support for the next year's internship joint training work, and put forward cooperation suggestions.

On January 27th, both parties held an online year-end summary conference for their internship work in 2024. Seven on-site students from Shenzhen Zhongdi Lianpei Company and Wuhan Zhihui Changxiang Company reported on their internship work content, work experience, their own shortcomings, as well as their work plans and prospects for the next year from various aspects. Subsequently, Professor Mei Xin provided comments, affirming the students' work while emphasizing related matters such as graduation thesis. He hoped that students could accumulate more thesis materials while working and lay a solid foundation for their graduation thesis in their daily lives.

Finally, Professor Fang Huchao analyzed the current employment situation in society and the basic needs of employment positions provided by GIS enterprises. He pointed out that "Zhongdi Digital has always regarded talent cultivation as the top priority of enterprise development. We are pleased to see the excellent achievements of our students in the workstation and look forward to them becoming the backbone of promoting industry development in the future." Professor Mei Xin said, "The cooperation between Hubei University and Zhongdi Digital is a model of school enterprise collaborative education. We look forward to deeper cooperation in more fields in the future and jointly contribute to the development of the national geographic information industry." He proposed suggestions for deepening the school enterprise cooperation mode, strengthening student career planning guidance, and promoting the transformation of internship results for the next step of joint training work. The successful holding of this year-end summary series of activities has enhanced the cooperation between Hubei University and Zhongdi Digital, and injected new vitality into the cultivation of high-quality geographic information talents.
